Sean Beeghly is an attorney in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who helps families navigate the often complicated legal processes involved after a loved one passes away. His practice is focused on probate and trust administration, as well as crucial Medicaid crisis planning for seniors. He works with people to make sense of the financial and legal requirements that can otherwise feel overwhelming during an already difficult time.
In practice, Sean puts a lot of energy into making these processes manageable for his clients. He believes that good legal work means clear communication and patient guidance at every step. For example, when someone comes to him for assistance with administering a trust, he concentrates on demystifying the required reporting and distributions. Clients often experience his approach as calm and straightforward, helping them feel organized and prepared when dealing with complex estate matters.
Sean recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he concentrated on elder law. During his time there, he volunteered extensively at the school’s Elder Law Clinic, assisting low-income residents with wills, powers of attorney, and Medicaid planning. Before dedicating himself to law, he spent a decade working as a funeral director. This unique background gave Sean firsthand insight into the importance of thoughtful planning and how much it helps families later on.
Outside of his work, Sean loves spending time in his garden, reading science fiction, and hiking with his husband, John, and their two cats, Jack and Killie.
